Omni Family Resource Center Partners

Imagine one building where families are connected to several services . A rich pool of talent, passion, skills, and expertise – all tasked with helping improve the lives of children. A hub for services to strengthen families through parenting support, information and referral, child care, child development activities, and other programs. A shared office infrastructure and high-quality training and educational space aimed at building community among partner organizations. An innovative, professional, and collaborative work environment at below market rent for charitable, non-profit organizations of various sizes and purposes. This is the vision of the Omni Family Resource Center. The Omni Family Resource Center brings together a host of diverse organizations under one roof, creating a unique and centrally located home for organizations dedicated to helping families with children.

Autism Society of Cumberland County

  • Vision - The Autism Society of Cumberland County strives to create a community where people within the autism spectrum and their families receive respect, services, and support based on individual needs, differences, and preferences.
  • Mission - The Autism Society of Cumberland County is committed to providing support and promoting opportunities which enhance the lives of individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.
  • Clients Served and Program - Annually serves approximately 50 people, including child and family members.  Services are available to any individuals within the autism spectrum and their family. Offers support and direct services for families of children with autism. Service include: Monthly Parent Education meetings, Support Groups, Resource Directory, Monthly Newsletter, Annual Spring Picnic, Summer Day Camp, Conference Scholarships, and Teacher/Day Program Grants

Autism Society of North Carolina

  • Vision - The Autism Society of North Carolina strives to create a community where people within the autism spectrum and their families receive respect, services, and support based on individual needs, differences, and preferences.
  • Mission - The Autism Society of North Carolina is committed to providing support and promoting opportunities which enhance the lives of individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.
  • Clients Served and Program - Annually serves approximately 55 people, including child and family members.  Services are available to any individuals within the autism spectrum and their family. Our staff advocates offer expertise in a variety of areas including:
    • Information and Referral - Help individuals and families network with other families, individuals and providers.
    • Mental Health Services - How to access the system and place your child on the waiting list for services.
    • School Issues - IEP’s and how to collaborate with school personnel, etc.
    • Transition Planning - What issues should you consider as your child nears adulthood?
    • Residential and Vocational Support - What options are available? How do you access the available services?
    • Crisis Services - Where do you turn when you need help?
    • Establishment and Support of Parent Groups - Connecting families in communities throughout the state.
    • Parent Leadership Training - Provide an annual Leadership Retreat for Local Group leaders.
    • Workshops - Presentations to various groups on a wide variety of topics.

Children’s Developmental Services Agency

  • Vision - A community Early Intervention resources accessible to families to promote their children’s well-being and development.
  • Mission - To educate, identify, evaluate, support, and assist young children and their families to access Early Intervention services.
  • Clients Served and Program - Annually serves approximately 700 families.  CDSA is the lead local agency for the North Carolina Infant Toddler Program (NCITP). Provides Early Intervention Service Coordination to children birth to age 3 and their families who qualify for the ITP. Developmental assessments (inter-disciplinary) provided for children birth to 5 years (referrals for 3-5 year olds come directly from the local preschool program).

Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center

  • Vision - Focuses on working with teachers and parents to expose children to books and language activities which will enhance imagination, creativity, vision, dexterity, and all developmental pre-reading skills, systematically initiating the process of creating successful readers.
  • Mission - To be an extension of the library’s services to the community by interlinking the partnership between families, schools and the library into the total education process.
  • Clients Served and Program - Annually serves approximately 250 families in the Motheread program which teaches literacy to parents through communication, sharing feelings, humor, memories, and experiences through reading and writing. Parents are not students, but caring parents who become interested in developing their learning skills and linking these skills to nurturing their children and increasing literary development.

Annually serves approximately 600 families in the Read-to-Me program which improves the quality of Cumberland County child care centers by introducing books and literature-centered activities to children and their teachers. Instructors work one-on-one with child care providers to develop their story-telling skills while children enjoy literature based fun.

Easter Seals United Cerebral Palsy of North Carolina

  • Vision - Easters Seals UCP Fayetteville will be a recognized force in making North Carolina the best place in the country for people with disabilities by maximizing their individual potential for living, learning, and working in their communities.
  • Mission - Easter Seals UCP Fayetteville changes the lives of children and adults with disabilities by maximizing their individual potential for living, learning and working in their communities.
  • Clients Served and Program - Provides a variety of programs designed to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families, including physical rehabilitation, individual and family support services, and advocacy programs.

  • Mission - To provide the highest quality early childhood program in a safe, healthy, nurturing environment while meeting the needs of our children and their families, and helping children develop a positive self-image, a respect for others, a love for school, and the skills necessary to succeed now and in the future.

Partnership for Children of Cumberland County

  • Vision - We envision a community committed to the health, safety, happiness, and education of all of our children and their families.
  • Mission - To build partnerships with families and the community so that all children have the opportunity to succeed in school and be prepared to contribute to our social and economic future.
  • Clients Served and Program - Annually serves approximately 23,100 families.  Plans, administers, and advocates services for young children and their families. Provides funding for programs and services for young children under six years of age and their families, and access to high-quality and affordable childcare, health care, and other critical family services.
