Activity:    Early Intervention/Special Education (417)
Special Needs: Early intervention/Special Education - enhanced services provided for children with identified special needs or children at risk of developmental delay and training and technical assistance for parents and caregivers to work with specific children with emotional, behavioral, and identified special needs in the appropriate setting.   Services include initial assessment, family and caregiver support, referrals and follow-up, and specific therapeutic interventions.   Services are provided beyond or in addition to those supported by mental health or early intervention and special education funds.   (Ex: Neonatal intensive care unit support, parent-to-parent programs, coordination of services, speech, physical, and other therapies,Inclusion specialist, behavior intervention specialist, early intervention specialist, etc)
